⚠️ Important Legal Notice

Advome is not a law firm. Advome does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or any service that constitutes the practice of law. The platform is a procedural assistance and information tool designed to help self-represented litigants understand court processes, track deadlines, and generate document templates based on their own inputs.

Section 34 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 guarantees the right of access to justice. Advome supports that right by providing structured information and procedural guidance. This is not legal practice. It is access to information.

Section 34 — Access to Justice
Everyone has the right to have any dispute that can be resolved by the application of law decided in a fair public hearing before a court or, where appropriate, another independent and impartial tribunal or forum.
1. Nature of the Service

1.1. Advome is a technology platform that provides procedural assistance, legal information, and document template generation for self-represented litigants in South Africa.

1.2. The platform does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. No attorney-client relationship is created by using Advome.

1.3. All document templates generated by the platform are based on user-provided information and standard South African legal formats. These templates must be reviewed, verified, and adapted by the user before filing.

1.4. The platform uses artificial intelligence (Kimi) to analyse documents, identify procedural stages, retrieve legislation and precedent, and draft customised templates. The AI does not practise law. It processes information and generates structured output based on patterns in legal documents and rules.

1.5. Advome is not registered as a law firm, legal practitioner, or trust account holder under the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014.

2. User Responsibility

2.1. You take full responsibility for all decisions made, documents filed, and actions taken using information or templates from Advome.

2.2. You must verify all generated documents against the relevant court rules, practice directives, and legislation before filing.

2.3. You are responsible for meeting all deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements. Advome provides reminders and tracking, but compliance is your responsibility.

2.4. If you are unsure about any legal issue, you must consult a qualified attorney or legal aid organisation. Advome is not a substitute for professional legal advice.

2.5. You indemnify and hold harmless Advome, its operators, and its AI providers from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to missed deadlines, incorrect filings, or adverse court outcomes.

3. No Attorney-Client Relationship

3.1. No attorney-client relationship, fiduciary duty, or duty of confidentiality is created between you and Advome by your use of the platform.

3.2. Communications with the platform are not privileged. Do not share information you would not want disclosed.

3.3. If you connect with an attorney through the Attorney Portal, a separate attorney-client relationship may be formed directly between you and that attorney. Advome is not a party to that relationship.

3.4. The Attorney Portal is a directory and workflow tool. Advome does not endorse, vet, or guarantee the quality of any attorney listed.

4. Document Templates

4.1. All templates generated by Advome are starting points only. They are not final, filing-ready documents.

4.2. You must review every generated document for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current court rules and practice directives.

4.3. Court rules and forms change. Advome updates templates periodically but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. You must verify the current version of any form or rule.

4.4. The platform does not file documents on your behalf. Filing is your responsibility through the appropriate court, tribunal, or online system (e.g., Court Online).

5. Subscription & Payments

5.1. Subscription fees grant access to the platform's tools and information. They do not purchase legal services or advice.

5.2. The Self-Represented plan (R30/month) is for individual users managing their own matters.

5.3. The Attorney plan (R50/month per practitioner) is for law firms and legal practitioners using the platform as a workflow and client management tool.

5.4. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.5. Refunds are available within 14 days of the first subscription payment if you are unsatisfied. Contact support@advome.co.za.

6. Data & Privacy

6.1. Advome collects and stores user data, including uploaded documents, matter details, and generated templates, to provide the service.

6.2. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6.3. You retain ownership of your documents and data. You may export or delete your data at any time.

6.4. We use industry-standard security measures but cannot guarantee absolute protection against data breaches. You use the platform at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Advome's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7.2. Advome is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, missed deadlines, or adverse legal outcomes.

7.3. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
