Inventory & valuations

Capture the assets and liabilities of the deceased estate.

This page helps the user list property, accounts, investments, debts, and values so the estate can be properly administered after the appointment letter is issued.

This module provides procedural assistance and legal information for estate administration. It does not provide legal advice.

1. Asset capture

Start by listing everything in the estate and attaching a value where possible.

Assets

Common assets

  • Immovable property
  • Vehicles
  • Bank accounts
  • Investments
  • Furniture and personal effects
  • Business interests

What the page should ask

  • Who owns the asset?
  • Where is it located?
  • What is the estimated value?
  • Is there proof of ownership?

2. Liability capture

The estate must also list debts and any claims that must be paid before distribution.

3. Valuation support

Advome should help the user estimate or attach values for the estate inventory.

Where values come from

  • Statements
  • Rates valuations
  • Vehicle guides
  • Investment statements
  • Quotes or expert valuation

What the user should see

  • Estimated value
  • Confirmed value
  • Missing valuation evidence
  • Items still awaiting proof

4. Inventory summary

The summary should make the estate position easy to understand before the bank account stage.

Incomplete
Inventory summary The estate inventory is partially complete. Some assets and liabilities still need values and supporting proof before administration can continue cleanly.

5. Questions panel

The user should be able to ask inventory questions directly from this page.

What counts as an estate asset?

Anything owned by the deceased that has value, such as property, money, vehicles, or investments.

Do I need valuations for everything?

The page should ask for an estimated or confirmed value for each major asset where possible.

What debts should be listed?

List debts, finance agreements, tax obligations, utilities, and other liabilities of the estate.

What happens after inventory is complete?

The workflow should move to the estate bank account and then into advertising and creditor claims.
