Advertising & creditor claims

Advertise, receive claims, and prepare the L&D account.

This page helps the user publish the required notice, track the claim period, capture objections, and move the estate toward the Liquidation and Distribution account and final distribution.

This module provides procedural assistance and legal information for estate administration. It does not provide legal advice.

2. Claims and objections

The page should show claims as they arrive and whether they are accepted, disputed, or still pending review.

3. Inspection period

The 21-day inspection period should be tracked so the user knows when objections can be raised or resolved.

During inspection

  • Keep the account visible
  • Track objections
  • Capture queries from the Master
  • Update the file before final distribution

What the user should see

  • Inspection start date
  • Inspection end date
  • Objection status
  • Final approval readiness

4. L&D account readiness

Once claims are dealt with, the workflow should move to the Liquidation and Distribution account.

Preparing
Drafting support Advome should explain what goes into the L&D account and prepare the data from the user’s answers once the notice period is complete.

5. Questions panel

The user should be able to ask advertising and claims questions directly from this page.

What should the creditor notice say?

It should identify the estate, the executor, the claim period, and where claims must be lodged.

What if a creditor objects?

The page should mark the claim or objection as disputed and keep it visible before the L&D account is finalised.

When do I draft the L&D account?

After advertising, the waiting period, and claim handling are sufficiently complete.

What happens after the claim period?

The workflow should move into the Liquidation and Distribution account and then toward final distribution.
